Million Mom March on Mother's Day
As reported on the wire services and in newspapers around the country, thousands of women spent Mother's Day (May 9, 2004) in front of the Capitol demanding that Congress extend the assault weapons ban that is set to expire in September.

We've just added GUNS AND MOTHERS to our collection. This powerful film visits contentious debate over gun control, as seen through the eyes of two mothers on opposite sides of the issue: Frances Davis, who, having lost all three of her sons to gun violence, advocates for stronger gun control and supports the Million Moms; and Maria Heil, who believes that a gun is a woman's best tool for self-defense, and is active with the Second Amendment Sisters.
