Colombia’s New Attempt at Reaching Peace
A New York Times article (Nov. 26, 2003) by Juan Forero tells about 800 fighters from a right-wing paramilitary group in Colombia laying down their weapons in a disarmament ceremony. The government says this could bring the country closer to ending its 39-year-long war.
